The hotel is located at the heart of the resort, just 100 metres away from the springs. A brand new hotel spa complex, the classy St. Joseph Royal Regent was erected on the site of the former Kurhaus St. Joseph monastery sanatorium, built in 1889. The sanatorium was one of the few that stayed open throughout the year. It housed a chapel, blessed by the patron Saint Joseph. According to ancient legend, this saint helped cure guests and pilgrims by intercession with God. In the 19th and 20th centuries, the spa began to attract the attention of the European elite and high-ranking church officials.
Infrastructure
The Skyland Wellness Center, situated on the top floor of the hotel, is open exclusively to hotel guests. Here guests can indulge themselves at the Finnish bathhouse, steam room, tepidariae (ancient Roman-style bathhouse), solarium, whirlpool, and bar. But the real jewel in the crown is without doubt the spacious 15x6m pool, open daily from 9am until 9pm. Use of the pool and saunas is free to all hotel guests. The pool is equipped with a wave machine and fountains. The pool has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside thanks to its glass walls and ceiling. A terrace runs all along the exterior of the pool area with equally breathtaking views. The hotel boasts two modern and stylish restaurants, the Mayflower and Esquire (non-smoking), accommodating up to 150 people. All meals are served here, with a choice of dining`a la carte` or from the buffet. In the lobby there is also the Regent`s Club bar (smoking permitted) with its own terrace, open daily from 11am until 11pm. The Esquire VIP gourmet lounge is adorned with stunning mirrored-glass walls and also has its own terrace. There are 3 elevators in the hotel for guests` convenience. Pets are permitted and charged at a supplementary rate of €10 euro/night. The hotel boasts its Silhouette `Beauty & Relax` lounge. Guests can also take advantage of the hotel babysitting service. Use of the fitness center is free to all hotel guests.

The hotel has a total of 81 rooms - 1 Single, 8 Junior, 23 Classic, 27 Superior, 6 Vista, 8 Vista Plus as well as 8 Vista Grand, and 3 Suites. All rooms come with cable television, and DVD players can be rented at an additional charge of either €8 euro/day or €20 euro/week, radio, telephone, safe deposit box, minibar, hairdryer, iron and ironing board are available on request at an additional charge of €5 euro/day. In some of the rooms it is also possible to supply additional beds. Cots are also available at an extra charge of €10 euro/night. The hotel also specially adapted rooms for disabled guests. All meals are served in the hotel restaurant. 8am-10:30am, buffet with a selection of beverages included - tea, coffee, juices, and milk. 12pm-2:30pm, buffet, served with mineral water. 6pm-9pm, buffet, served with mineral water.
Treatment
The hotel boasts its own in-house spa-treatment facility. 17 treatments are offered per week to each guest and are available Monday to Saturday from 7:30am-3:30pm. On weekends treatments can be arranged on an individual basis. St. Joseph`s Spa resort clinic, which offers a highly rated service, is spread over more than 350m², where clients are treated using cutting-edge techniques and therapy, including baths in thermal mineral water, physical therapy, oxygen therapy, colon cleansing, electrotherapy, pneumo-acupuncture, dental irrigation, various types of massage, etc. As well as treating conditions traditionally relieved by the Karlovy Vary springs, such as gastrointestinal conditions and metabolic disorders, the specialists and medical support staff at the Royal Regent Hotel help tackle problems with excess weight through a variety of original and highly effective therapeutic and dietary methods and techniques.
